Imagine if we could apply the same rule to SI too.....unlikely, since the vast majority of people posting on political threads enjoy their partisan battles. The fact that no one I've seen has ever moved their position by a millimeter as the result of an SI exchange doesn't seem to be important - the emotional release from bellowing and slamming people seems to be a positive end in itself for these folks. It brings to mind, however, that old definition of insanity as doing the same thing over and over with same result, and expecting something different the next time. ;<) Partisanship is a dead end.
