LIAR. Kerry won the Silver Star by killing a 24 year old VC regular who was armed with a B-40 rocket launcher which he was trying to blow Kerry's boat up with. Kerry risked his own life by leaping off the boat and chasing the rocketeer down in the brush, where he killed him. For all Kerry knew he could have been running into an ambush, but he knew he had to save his boatmates. The Bush rightwing investigated this in Vietnam and found it was totally true, but they made up a pack of disgraceful lies about it to deflect the fact Kerry was a true war hero and Bush a cowardly AWOL draft-dodger. The rightwing has no ethics and this is a perfect example to prove that.
