I took the first picture two months ago, the one of the little golden mantled ground squirrel. The others I got from Ask.com images because they illustrated what I was talking about. I did bring books, and bought a cheap guitar and a book on how to play it. When I got down, I could do the basic chords. My Dad brought up a portable radio, with which I could get one station from Hamilton, Montana, just over the Bitterroot Divide. It was a slow year for fires, but I had an exciting one right on the other side of East Moose Creek, up in the Goat Heaven Peaks. Smoke jumpers came to put it out.
