Remember you are only Elroy Jetson and not Jean Luc Picard... so you cannot simply Make it so .... I also never mentioned Hitler and it is convenient for you to simply proclaim Gadaffy as probably a dry drunk... At any rate I fail to to see how you can claim all madmen are alcoholics... or infer that all alcoholics are madmen... Could these folks you list simply have severe psychoses irrespective of alcohol ? members.shaw.ca Psychosis: Refers to any mental disorder characterized by severe distortion of thinking, comprehension, and judgment (i.e., mental capacity); impaired contact with reality; and abnormal emotional responses and disorganized behaviors. Symptoms may include false beliefs despite evidence to the contrary (delusions), such as fears of persecution; the perception of sounds, sights, or other sensations in the absence of external stimuli (hallucinations); apparent lack of emotion (affect); abnormal thought patterns; disorganized, incoherent speech; and/or agitated, aggressive behaviors. Psychosis may be of physical (i.e., organic) origin, such as due to brain damage, neurological diseases, underlying metabolic disorders, etc., or "functional," meaning that it is produced or caused by factors other than organic disease. IMHO alcoholics are people and therefore like snowflakes... each the same and yet different...... while I guess it could be an admirable endeavour to try and classify them as succinctly as you want to... I doubt it is possible... And then I realise ... that apparently you are really commenting on George Bush and not simply linking generally aberrant behaviour on the world stage with alcohol... so I look at myself in the mirror and admonish myself for my naïveté with the imitable words of Gomer Pyle USMC: Shame, shame, shame! NOT to be confused with that old disco ditty by Shirley & Company - "Shame, Shame, Shame" Personally I would never trust anything to an alcoholic that I couldn't afford to lose. Frankly Elroy... I find it incredible that you would consider trusting anything to an alcoholic considering your definition of them... regards editted...
