Housing IS NOT GOING TO COME CRASHING DOWN...take THAT to the bank. Everyone and their mother is predicting it...so it ain't gonna happen. Sure, we'll see some normal "pullback" maybe a correction of 10%...but it ain't gonna crash. It's truly hilarious to see everyone running around screaming of the "housing bubble" that has popped. Home prices have indeed peaked and have pulled back a little for the time being, but it's hardly a housing crash.

I live in an area (SF Bay Area) where I saw my home literally double again in price in just two short years. I sold the home in November of last year, because the house was too small for my family and I figured the profit was so great, we'de be nuts not to take it while we could. As it turned out, we sold at THE PEAK of the real estate market here.

Since that time, homes have leveled off and are even down 4-6% from Novemeber in some cases. Big deal. A housing crash? Hardly. Gold bugs are conviced the US is going to "pulla Japan" and see housing fall by 30,40,50% from today's levels within a couple of years!! Gold buys need to put down the crack pipes, imo.
