Peru and Ecuador are somewhat different from Bolivia because Bolivia has a higher percentage of poor rural uneducated Indians among its population. These underclasses have long been exploited by alliances between foreign companies and local elites and hence are understandably more vulnerable to the blandishments of anti-capitalist populists.

I would put Guatemala and perhaps Honduras and El Salvador with Bolivia as the only other occupants of this particular grouping, with Peru and Ecuador one step down on the risk scale.

Man, I wish I had had the cash to grab some more POM while it was down. I knew I should buy some but ordered a new laptop instead.
