I agree with this comment. Although it is entirely possible, and even likely, Intel is in it's quiet period and I just can't see them making this statement at this time. Now tomorrow is another story...


I don't think the credibility of the reporting is in question, just Intel's for making this statement at this time.

Ephud,

I think the point is that at best, this comment steals thunder from the ER and causes investors to scratch their heads.

You can't get carried away with it because it could be one guy being a knucklehead.

On the other hand, if the ER comes out and Q3 is weaker than expected ... one could easily surmise that this was a self inflicted PR mishap.
