OK, there's no point discussing anything with you, you already "know" that "Bush lies, and people die," and that Iraq was better off under Saddam and the Ba'ath Party. Well, too bad, Saddam is going to be shot dead, or, even better, hanged, and the Ba'ath party is never going to rule Iraq again. I'm glad, you're sad, too bad. :)

I believe the number goes to the target 325,000 in January or thereabouts. As that number HAS GONE WAY UP FROM ZERO, the number of Americans hasn't gone to 30,000 as predicted by Rumsfeld it has GONE UP to somewhere around 150,000. Now the idea is to keep that number, at a minimum, there until 2010. Bush's 'we'll stand up when they stand down' is sheer claptrap. The really stupid thing is that those 'trained' Iraqis must include people who are going to use that training against us. This has been the pattern for years now (3 years 8 months but who's counting) as those in the 'police' have gotten off of duty and turned around to become insurgents for the evening. It's ridiculous and dangerous. It's time to get our guys and gals outta there all in once piece, all 150K of them along with 40K or so contractors.
