Countries should determine their own futures. Yes, but is helping them attain that future wrong? If France, Spain and Poland had not assisted the Americans against the Brits we'd still be subjects of the Queen. If America hadn't helped the Soviets and the Brits against the Nazis, the Brits would be speaking German and saying "heil" to whomever the Fuhrer was these days. If we hadn't helped against the Japanese, large swaths of mainland Asia would be bowing to the Emperor.
