In France anybody drinking more than 3 bottles of wine is considered an alcoholic. Just 3 bottles a day or less is considered normal. Churchill started the morning with a bottle of Pol Roger champagne and by end of the day is also said to have downed a bottle of whisky on top of that. Quite extreme for a late Nobel prize winner I would say. Taro
