Big Oil is raking in record windfall profits but at the same time not paying anywhere near their fair share of taxes or royalties for drilling on public land. The big oil lobby is why we have little public transportation in LA and why our cars don't get better gas mileage. They are also why we are fighting a horrendous losing war in Iraq. We the taxpayers are getting totally screwed on both ends. And you defend these mega-thieves. Shame on you. Big energy ripped California off of 30 billion dollars in 2000-2001. And the Bushies didn't do a damn thing about it. In fact they supported it. Time to fight back. The empire of oil must end. And we can break our addiction to oil too. Brazil did it, so we can too. Just takes new honest leadership.
