Tallapoosa is near the center of the Sierra Range rain shadow, but you can count on some rain and snow mostly from January to March. Most BLM permits now have a clause requiring that work stop when tire tracks get more than three inches deep in the mud. That happens after about an hour of rain. If you do everything else right, the BLM will typically look the other way on this rather excessive requirement. I believe Tallapoosa is partly on private land also.

The greater problem that CKG may face is the extreme lack of drill rigs in Nevada. If they want to drill next year they should plan a start date and begin looking for drills now. Companies are actually trying to poach drills from each other by offering to pay increased (even doubled) hourly rates. Maybe CKG can bring some equipment, or crews, from Mexico. There are drills sitting idle because there are not enough experienced drillers. Companies are bringing in crews from South America and Russia and communication in some cases is reduced to sign language.

I noticed that AAU is trading at about 0.305 times CKG. This makes the warrants and rights almost free. I haven't seen any sign of a change in the terms of the deal, other than the A shares. I guess the market doesn't give gold much chance of breaking $850 in the next five years right now. I have a hard time believing it won't. Looks like a buy opp. to me.
