Calvin and Hobbes hasn't been around (in original form) for several years now. Too bad, as it was fresh, cute and easy to get along with. My paper has a practice of rotating these strips every couple of months, seems like. They always ask for comments about it, but I really doubt they pay a bit of attention.

A perennial strip that has been around for more years than me, is Blondie. Chic Young, the original cartoonist died long ago and it was taken over by his son and another artist. I think lately it's just his son on it anymore. Same art style through all these years and it's still a popular strip. A good one, IMO.
