I started smoking when I started working, as a way to take more breaks than I otherwise could, because everybody smoked so it was just acceptable behaviour. Did become addicted, quit when I got pregnant, but then years later discovered the ability to smoke just for pleasure, or during final exam week. For some reason, I am reminded of a cousin who had his larynx removed due to cancer, and also got emphysema, but kept smoking, even in his hospital bed. I seem to remember that he would put the cigarettes into the tracheotomy hole but that can't be true, can it?
