Jefferson has no party and no future. That said, he has not yet been charged with anything. Just that the story about the $90,000 is so damning. He's probably a crook, but he's a lone one, and did this on his own. Not like Cunningham and Delay who were running institutional corruption schemes to sell out bthe people. Also, Bush's black domestic affairs chief was caught shoplifting thousands of dollars from Target stores. Do you blame Bush for that?
