as I understand it your mortgage payment is tax deductible, ours isn't. Our property taxes are paid to the local government.

Our property taxes go to the local government as well. Tax deductible is not a tax credit. We do get some portion of that back. It depends on what the household income is. My property taxes are $6K. So it's different.

Then they put on Market Value assessment.

If we did it any differently it was before I was born.

So if your neighbour fixes up his house and sells it, your taxes go up.,/i>

Gee, welcome to our world. I'm adjoining some properties where the builder is going to build houses at a substantially higher market value then currently exists. Which will raise my property assessment which results in higher taxes.

Maybe you should buy a property in your neighborhood, run it down to decrease it's value. If you can get the other neighbors to do the same thing you could lower the market value of the entire neighborhood. That would lower your assessment, lower your taxes and your neighbors ... your neighbors would be eternally grateful having a lower market assessment for their homes.

Or you could do what we do. You could lower your taxes and create a huge debt that you can pass on to your children.

Another choice you have is to kill the Canadian NHS and pay medical expenses yourself. That way you could be like us and pay twice as much out of your pocket. Sure your infant mortality rates would increase and you wouldn't live as long on average but it would be worth it to lower your taxes.

Something else Canada could do is develop your own Ballistic Missile Defense System. That would create higher paying jobs. And if you took my other suggestion, you don't even have to pay for it with taxes. Just run your debt up higher.

Obviously we are not communicating very well.

You're correct. I tried giving you a short article from Wilkipedia on Canada's homeless problem and you didn't understand it. There's certainly no hint that you understood it.
