Stephanopoulos is almost the only Democrat I would trust to tell the truth this close to an election:

>>One argument the Republicans have used against the Menendez who-me-under-investigation ploy is to remind the viewers what Menendez said on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos on September 24:

Stephanopoulos: "But this is being investigated by the U.S. Attorney here. There is a federal investigation."<<

Menendez hasn't been proven to have done anything wrong. Neither has Reid. Meanwhile Delay is indicted for serious multiple fraud crimes, Hastert is guilty of protecting a pedophile and Frist is guilty of banking millions via insider trading during his fraudulent Medicare bill, which is a huge ripoff of taxpayer money and a program fiscal conservatives despise. Then all the other GOP scandals, making them look like a sleazy political mafia. dems have no comparable ethics problems at all.

Reid is only accused of minor technicalities. And the NY Times investigated Menendez and said he's basically innocent.

This Kean fellow needs to win on some other issue. He's beaten that little horse to death. And neithe Reid nor Pelosi are likely to get re-elected as party leaders anyway, so they're no big issue.

Most important of all though is IRAQ. Bush-Cheney and cronies in congress caused it to happen and it's the most costly debacle in modern US history.
