pomp, Those letters were not the way to influence a person to not vote, if they are qualified to vote. I do believe that, if a person from any other country is not a citizen of the USA, they should not be allowed to vote in any election, and if they try to sneak into the polls, they should be punished in some manner, and if any citizen helps them to cast a vote, that person should also be punished severely. The right to vote in elections is an important part of being a citizen of a democracy, and should be protected from any invasion of unqualified voters. I once backed the bracereos because they would come here and do the jobs that our citizens would not do, but they would then return to Mexico, or wherever else, and not come back until the seasonal jobs were available, but since they have found ways to stay here illegally, and receive benefits when they pay no taxes, I am in favor of them being rounded up and forced to return to their home country, and threatened with prison if they sneak back in. I want my tax money to go to the benefit of citzens of the United States, and no one else regardless of origin. The free loaders are not just Hispanic either, and all of them, regardless of home nation, should be punished equally. They have broken the law, and should pay for their crime.
