Ben certainly was able to contemplate governments or people behaving badly. He certainly knew what could happen when governments had little or no restrictions on their actions. Which was the whole point in setting up the Republic in the first place. And now we have cowards like you who want to throw it all away because there are people out there who don't like us. Crap, how did you get through the Cold War when the threat level was a lot higher? You never would have made it through WWII.
