It was a long time ago, WWII still going on as I recall. One Sunday morning we got up to a couple feet of snow and the newspapers couldn't be delivered out in the country where we lived. My folks always listened to the radio news each morning and this particular morning they announced they would read the Sunday funnies on the air. That turned out to be so popular they continued it for a very long time. Can't remember why they stopped.

Each Sunday the paper was delivered, my brother and I would sit in Dad's lap and he'd read every last one of them to us. Great!
