a) Abuse of the system happens. That much is certain, no matter how much the original author of that article denies it or attributes it to "seasoned hypochondriacs."

b) The reasons of the abuse are clear. People will demand more when it doesn't cost them a dime.

c) The new system that you're proposing won't address the reasons. Instead, they'll make 'em worse.

Now maybe it's worth it to provide every single living being on American soil with the best health care. Maybe not. But it's NOT going to be a cost-saving solution as you keep pretending it to be. It's going to be expensive and full of problems. Will it be worth it?
