I don't hate Canada at all. I do hate what Liberals have done to the country. I am not fond of what the Conservatives seem to be doing either.

I admit I do not understand why Clinton or any other Democrat has not brought in any national Healthcare scheme. I don't expect the Republicans to do it. It isn't in their platform. I expect Republicans to try to make governments smaller and to cut taxes. But the irrational hatred for George Bush mystifies me. He is a lame duck, his term is gone, and yet I seldom see any evidence of Demoncrats offering ideas or platforms or contributing to discussions on how to win an election on ideas. It seems like Democrats have lost the inspiration they had with kennedy and have not had it since. Instead of arguing with me about how much better off Canadians are, why aren't you figuring out how to advance your platform so that the US doesn't make the errors of the Canadian system. Why aren't you demanding the things I expect from Liberals? not whining about foley, but proposing ways to protect the kids involved? Not one of you seems able to propose a better way. And not one of you seems to expect better behaviour from your representatives. That is kind of scary. Why is that old drunk kennedy still a Demoncrat? Why did you allow Gerry Studds to continue to represent the Demoncrats for years? Why weren't Democrats embarrassed by his behaviour?

Neither Party has provided men of honesty and intellectual integrity for many years, and it is high time someone who is an American noticed.
