Years ago I had a good friend who lived in Glasgow Scotland. She came to the US with her scientist husband then got divorced and went back home to Glasgow. She visited me a few times here in Ca. According to her, Paul liked to smoke pot and always had a good stash at his place up in the highlands near Glasgow. Every few months the local Constable would go up to Paul and Linda's place and bust him......Paul would go into town before the local judge, pay the fine and go home. This went on for a while until Paul struck up a deal with the Constable..................whenever the sheriff needed money for some local cause or charity he would knock on Paul's door, Paul would ask him how much money he needed, pay him and the Constable would go back to town!!! The locals laughed about Paul and his pot. Nobody cared cause he was generous with the local community. Sounds like a win/win for everyone! :>)
