TJ, Maoris are not now a distinct group, though there are constant contrivals to pretend so, with cultural teachings to redevelop a separate reality. Yes, with suitable DNA tests, one could find precisely who has descended from whom, but nobody is suggesting that. Maoris and others are now so comingled that there is no separating them. Something like quarter of the population has some Maori DNA and they do NOT all look Maori by any means. As more people leave NZ and immigration slows as the welfare state is dried out and the pickings are not so good, Maoris will become the majority in NZ. But that doesn't mean that it'll look a lot different from now . It'll just mean that as DNA spreads, eventually hundreds of millions of people around the world will also be Maori. They'll also be English. They'll simultaneously be Chinese. While mixing it with Cablinasians. The melting pot is simmering away. Economically, I suppose it'll continue to slide backwards, lacking the ethics, morals, manners, [if those are different], thrift, work, learning, saving, investing, creating and Libertarian principles which allow economic development. To the extent that countries adopt those Virtuous Values, [VV], they do well, to the extent that they don't, they do badly. VV are considered Victorian. They are not. They are essential foundations for good lives of peace, light, harmony, happiness, health, prosperity, longevity, fun and love.
