I think that's a wonderful plan to start with, but I don't see anyone running on it. It needs a President's backing, and some careful PR work. The resistance from the private health industry would be fierce, as it was to Clinton's plan. The Republicans would have to be brought onboard as well, as it would need both sides behind it to overcome the resistance of the entrnched private health industry here. I've often thought a way to sell it would be to pitch it as a competitiveness issue for our corporations.
