Where did the Tibetans get their idea that they were not part of China? I recall the USA, when it was young, decided they were not part of Great Britain and not serfs of the state of King George III.

The fact that King George III and TJ demand that their serfs obey their strictures doesn't make TJ and other slave-drivers correct.

The fact that somebody's ancestors might have paid "tribute" doesn't confer an obligation on descendants to do the same. Slavery went out of fashion long ago TJ. China use to pay tribute to Genghis, but that doesn't mean you should work in Hong Kong to pay some layabout descendant of Genghis and the Khan Klan. Though you are no doubt doing that.
