"The fact that Nguyen is himself an immigrant might reduce the harm but there will be some harm." It was a corrupt act perpetrated by his campaign team. It has nothing to do with immigration since that was simply a lie to scare Mexicans who might vote Democrat away. It may as well have said anyone who has ever worn a sombrero will be arrested if they try to vote. He is not required to drop out but he is being encouraged to. Continuing can do nothing positive for his party and will do harm to the dignity of politicians at large.
