If he committed the corrupt act and it can be proven than his status as an immigrant will mean little or nothing, and I agree he should drop out.

If someone committed the act without his knowledge than the fact that he is an immigrant himself might reduce the political harm.

This late in the game I don't think you can get another candidate on the ballot (I don't know the exact rules). If you can't and if he didn't do it I don't see why he should pull out (unless so many people are convinced that he did do it that the political fallout would be awful and he doesn't have a chance to win, only to drag down other Republicans by increasing the turnout of angry Democrats, and by shifting some votes to the Democrats)
