Micron has high expectations for revenue growth-CEO

BOISE, Idaho, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Micron Technology Inc. has "very high expectations" for revenue growth and aims to be one of the top five microchip companies within five years, Chief Executive Steve Appleton said on Friday.

Appleton was also bullish about the NAND flash market over the next few years, saying NAND will likely have higher returns than DRAM memory chips.

"I think we need to be in the top five in the world as a semi company. It might take us as long as five years, as short as three," Appleton told Reuters in an interview.

"We have very high expectations even for revenue growth for the company based on the markets we are in," said Appleton, who is also chairman and president.
