...have often been confronted with opposing POV's replete with real facts & credible evidence, yet they remain convinced their discredited POV is reality & that reality is the real lie. Then there's folks like Dale & X, ET AL, who actively read conservative threads (mostly to see who is talking about them). No doubt they have accidently come across all manner of facts & evidence that destroys many of their deeply held POV's, yet they continue to continue to believe their now discredited POV's (and their far leftist world view). I see your point - there is more than just stupidity going on. It is puzzling. A secular faith? A worldview that satisfies emotional needs, so it can't be abandoned? I can't say for sure.
