Perhaps the sample of "Christian teens" is not just teens who identify themselves as Christians, but a group of identified highly religious teens who go to church every Sunday or something like that.

If you include nominal Christians than "Christian teens" would be such a big percentage of teens that it would be hard for the sample to be that far from the sample of teens as a whole.

I wonder what they had to do to get that sample

They asked subscribers of CampusLife magazine, a Christian mag for young people. Undoubtedly, the kinds of young people who subscrbe to such a magazine are "freaks" who take their religion seriously, but there are millions of people like that in our country despite the best efforts of our education system and media.

If they took the poll where my daughter want to camp (a Christian camp) this summer for a week... I'd be surprised if it was that low.. She had a great time but found some of it over the top... and that wouldn't be her #1 I know and I'd say she's more representative of 'regular' not so fastidious Christians.. like us. She's 14.
