Steve, I just thought of an idea. What if we actually started arming Japan with nukes?

Think about it. South Korea would s--t a brick, and so might China. That would give them more than enough incentive to rein in North Korea.

Just a crazy thought.

No. China got off the fence, because they felt Kim Jong Il went too far this time. China wants us distracted and tied down on multiple fronts, so that they can continue their economic policies unimpeded. That's their strategy.

Bush has no strategy. He's playing checkers when everyone else is playing 3 layered chess.

Come on. Albright said NK was cheating on the nuke deal before you ever heard of Bush. China got off the fence thanks to Bush.

Do you honestly believe your own propaganda?

"Come on. Albright said NK was cheating on the nuke deal before you ever heard of Bush."

Your point? The were enriching uranium, or at least trying to. Even if that program was left undisturbed, they still would have been a long way from testing a weapon. So what does Bush do? He blusters and threatens and give NK an excuse to reactivate their plutonium extraction efforts, which is a whole lot easier than enriching uranium...
