I grew up in a family that went to church, but didn't believe it. My dad told me he went because mom wanted him too, and I think my mom went for appearances and because she liked the socializing aspects of going. I refused to continue going when I was about 14. My dad used to fall asleep and snore loudly during sermons. I loved my dad! I think my family is typical of very many American Christians. I appreciate Christ's teachings, but don't believe them, and don't know anyone that really follows them with any success.
