Reagan would dislike Bush-Cheney-Delay-Frist. Reagan may have been too rightwing for my tastes, but you had to admire his personal honesty and ability to inspire the nation. Bush-Cheney and their gang are devoid of honesty or inspiration. All they do is lie and attempt to mislead using propaganda, smear and fear tactics, while driving the country into a deep ditch.

Reagan blew it with Iran-Contra and in Lebanon but changed course. Not only that, he apologized and took responsibility. Bush-Cheney not only never apologize, they never even admit their faults and failures to begin with.

Reagan may have had some stinkers working for him, but he did try to protect the most corrupt politicians in our government the way Bush does. Reagan also did not cheat to steal elections. He did not pretend he was a devout christian. He did not overextend and punish our military. His deficit spending was not half as outrageous as Bush's. And he reached out to democrats quite often. Reagan also believed in diplomacy and talked to our enemies, with some success. Bush stonewalls anyone who doesn't agree with him, and the vast majority of the world does not. Reagan also did not allow massive energy gouging. He did allow the S+L debacle but that deregulatory fraud was not as bad as what's going on now. Finally, Reagan had a heart. Bush seems devoid of real human feelings except when he's pandering.
