If the incumbent is below 45% he's in big trouble. That's because especially during an anti-incumbent time like this, most undecideds either go for the challenger or stay home.
Stands to reason because people already know the incumbent and have made up their mind about him/her.

I also notice Kyl of Arizona has fallen to 40%. His challenger only has 35% but that means 25% are undecided. Kyl could be in trouble and that's supposed to be a safe GOP seat.
