I would think that Clifford is closer to Larry Flynt.

I am a centrist democrat, progressive on social and environmental issues. I am actually much more conservative than Bush is on economics. I think we shouldn't spend what we don't have, period. This government is addicted to debt spending.

I believe in the main Christian principles of taking care of those in need (while avoiding fraud and abuse), tolerance for different kinds of people and ideas, being good shepherds of the people and our environment, standing up to bullies, discouraging selfish greed, and rewarding honesty and good works. I also believe in national health care and especially taking care of babies and young children.

On terrorism, I believe in finding those responsible and killing them. Period. But also getting to the root causes of terrorism, including getting off Arab oil altogether by introducing a huge new clean fuels and efficiency campaign.

On national defense, I believe it is just as important to be smart and honest as it is to spend lots of money. And I don't believe the defense budget is off the table when it comes to cuts. Why should it be? We need to be strong but smart.

While respecting corporate business, I believe in helping people and small business becuse they need the help most and create the most jobs by far. When corporate executives (or politicians) commit crimes they must be held accountable. A corporate crook can steal far more than all the muggers and bank robbers in the country combined. Monopolies and price-fixing are huge problems these days.

I believe in the US being a benevolent and forward-looking leader of the world, a country others look up to and trust.

Also, I believe every American vote should be allowed and counted fairly. Election fraud should be punishable by long prison sentences. And you can make room in the prisons by making marijuana and small amounts of any drug if not legel, then de-criminalized. As I've seen in Holland, that works and actually cuts down on drug use in society. Therefore, let's cut the BS with the War on Drugs and put that money into education, treatment and law enforcement for more serious crimes.

Raymond Duray had American Spirit on ignore. What does that tell you?
