but there's the rub. if the dem's are given control and the presidency, SSN would be "less" likely to be farmed out into greedy hands. as to the rest, bring it on! <g>

Slider Forward looking landscapes are not easily navigated six months prior to any event unfolding. I think the key is not over exposing oneself until the easier bets are almost a sure bet,if there is such a thing. Your crystal ball has more clarity than most,granted. Possible Political mandates for the Democrats: -- hiking Capital Gains taxes? -- raising Income Taxes? -- applying new CAFE standards? -- hitting Big Oil with windfall profit taxes? -- instituting stronger environmental standards? -- cutting the military industrial complex spending? ...and on and on. A completely different landscape for the markets to navigate. Yes,again I agree. Maybe this is what the market fears most and hence has decided to run a 'market top' expecting a Recession and a new Congress(possible Senete ?) by '07
