I dont have as much a problem with republican agenda as many of you seem to have. First off, deficit spending. Its true Bush never vetoed a spending bill but on the other hand I am told its because the bills always came within his guidelines, and even faster then he predicted the deficit is dropping. When you consider the INCREDIBLE cost after 9/11 for homeland security, then two wars, then Hurricane Katrina to me deficits are understandable. Then theres Medicare, IMHO Bush was THE ONLY President who didnt just give LIP SERVICE to prescription coverage, HE DID SOMETHING. Maybe its not perfect, but its MOVEMENT and we can fiddle with it over the years. Then Social Security, it was BUSH who suggested Privatization which IMHO for anyone younger then 40-45 thats THE ONLY thing that makes sense, not his fault it didnt pass, he surely tried. Finally theres terrorism and Iraq along with other trouble spots in the world. IMHO BUSH is the ONLY President with the CAJONES to face up to the problems and DO SOMETHING about them. jdn
