Interesting. Looks like Mama Shell might not get away with this without paying up a bit more after all, although you'd have to believe Royal Dutch more or less already knew where the remaining stock is being held before they launched this bid.

You also have to give Royal Dutch credit for understanding the game -- a strategy of throwing some fast cash at the fund gunslingers who are trying to recover some of their past year's resource gains before 10/31 so they can keep their bonus was/is not a bad idea
