This week looks predictable to me.

1. Dow, S&P keep climbing to new highs (I can see the sheep being led to slaughter here)

2. HB's - no matter how bad the news - hop along for the ride.

3. Existing home sales will eek out just higher than expected Tuedsay, eliciting shouts of "you see, the bottom is here!" which drowns out horrible earnings reports from CTX, MDC, BHS, and CHB.

4. Fed will leave rates unchanged, Jeffrey Lacker will dissent again, market will yawn.

5. New home sales will disappoint Wednesday, along with MTH and PHM results.

6. The Wall Street Rally will tire by midweek, everyone will be talking about the housing slowdown again.

7. Anyone's guess where the market ends up by end of week.
