That would lift a huge burden. **************** Its more than that.......they need to clean out their corporate culture: the guys who refuse to believe that the supply of oil is finite; that energy conservation is a good thing; that people like innovation and cars that work well. It is more than that... but it would give them some breathing room. All the auto companies need to jump on the issue... it seems like Toyota and Honda are the only ones that take it seriously. I wonder if a new auto industry will arise... it would be cool but I'm afraid the manufacturing would be off-shore.
