If you have a finished basement that you spend time in
I would leave the hot supply side piping to your
radiators unwrapped/exposed as the heat they would
radiate would be of use in the basement .. If not,
then I'd wrap them up to minimize radiant losses thru
the piping prior to reaching your radiators ..

Not a clue. The last radiator I saw was the last day of second grade, cuz, during the summer, an earthquake knocked the school down, and I was all of a sudden going to one without those things.
