Just tell him to be worried and guilty all the time and you'll both be just fine.

Congratulations to your son and you.

No matter what happens, yes.. you have to keep a positive view of life.

My daughters just started her 4th yr at Glasgow in Biology, and taking a minor unit (Snuffleupagus take note) in ethics in the biological sciences. Eugenics is kind of "old hat" and not much of an intellectual challenge, most of the advocates listed were not scientists. Any analysis is just too open to personal opinion and interpretation. It could never be raised to the level of a scientific subject, never mind the moral dimension.

I do wonder what the overall effect of computers will be on the human intellect though. Being able to add and subtract made people use their brains, as did the ability to write a letter. I think too much TV is not good for you either.

Nothing wrong with buying a house at least a hundred or so feet above mean sea level. Even if nothing happens, some height above mean sea level should only appreciate in value. It's not valued at the moment, at least in the UK. Lots of flooding though, mainly due to building new property near rivers and flood zones.

If you do have to live in fear under the bed, make sure your liquor container is of an adequate size, and at least "Whyte and MacKay" grade or better.
