The diplomatic solution.

Not bad. Only problem I see is that it's all based on the threat of Japan getting nukes. If we have to actually arm them, it makes for a template of proliferation, not non-proliferation. Do we tell Iran that if they get nukes we will arm Saudi Arabia to the teeth?

Still, that's a realpolitik solution. Now you do all that behind the scenes not on the front pages or political talk shows and you probably make some pragmatic progress.

Do you see the striking difference with our current policy?
