On the contrary, even as Bush was calling Kim Jong-Il a "pygmy" (oh noes!), South Korea continued giving North Korea many many bags of rice and other food aid. Plus there were still some projects still being done between North and South, including a rail connection and family reunions. Not to mention the economic aid and trade from China.

There was a lot going on that doesn't normally get reported in the American media. If you're ever curious about current events in Korea, just go to the KBS English web site:

re: Jong-il is scared and for good reason......there are chinks in his dictatorship. Those chinks will grow until they become cracks and eventually his regime will fall under its own weight.

You sort of remind me of the Florida Cubans... and they have been waiting a long time for Castro to bow out.
