Excellent post- especially this:

"It is much bigger than that. It's about a nation's responsibility to it's soldiers and its citizens. It's about honesty, integrity, empathy, courage, the duty to be an informed voter, the duty to refuse to send men to kill and die for goals that could be met without such sacrifice, or that don't merit such sacrifice, or that can't be achieved through such sacrifice and that you wouldn't choose to die for yourself. "

While both sides do "use" the dead, it is a better (more logical, more humane) thing to say "Let no more men die in this pointless war", that to say "Men have died in this pointless war, so we have to kill more men to 'honor' the dead ones, even if we can't really come up with a winning strategy."

I can't figure out why everyone can't see that, but it's good to know at least a majority DO have a problem with this very foolish war, and our very sad expenditure of American lives (and Iraqi lives- so very many Iraqi lives).

If you want to be a "tool" and a "useful idiot" for the thugs and evil in this world...that is your unfortunate choice.

All I can do is point it out and oppose your political aims.

I'm very happy that the majority of Americans still feel the same as I do about that.

And with all due respect, Kevin Tillman doesn't speak for Pat just the same as Cindy Sheehan doesn't speak for her son...just as you do not speak for those that volunteered for something they believe in.

Its not all about you and your phony self righteous hatred for Bush...get over it.
