Agree with you on Iraq. And I agree that he is a loser.

But it's too convenient to blame one man for all the things you mention, many of which I don't even think are that much of a problem.

The US markets are the freest in the world. It is not Bush's fault that other nations are distorting the interest rate/inflation picture in order to maintain their rigid economic structures. Go to Europe and Japan and you'll see monetary and fiscal policy that puts us to shame. This is why the dollar is getting supported. We actually have the most credible monetary policy among the G7.

The Unemployment rate is 4.6%. Wages are now growing briskly for many. Sure it is tough for those competing with China, but what is the solution? Shall we impose tarriffs or shall we let the natural workings of the economy take effect. If it isn't China, then it's India. If it isn't India, then it's Mexico. If it isn't Mexico, it's Africa. The list will go on and on.

There will always be a lower cost producer for widgets because it takes about an IQ of 80 to produce one.

Transition is hard, patience is a virtue. Free, capitalist nations with the least government interference always produce the greater good for the greatest number.
