Yep, George Will is exactly correct! Paternalism, Authoritarianism, 'Big Daddy' Prohibitionism mean the death of liberty. They are always and fundamentally, wrong.

The best of it is that it steals your money. The worst of it is that for MOST of these "gamblers", it is just another attack by satan to ruin families. It IS sad that the government has to regulate this crap, but it is also sad that you long for America to go into the toilet arm in arm with destruction and hell. those that are true gamblers will always find a way to gamble. But what if the law saved 10 families from going into the toilet...would it be worth it?
