And yet the DOW at an all time high. I believe recession is coming but the trend if you want to be making real money in the stock market has been to be long.. I'd have been decimated if I remained short because the yield curve was inverted.

Famed market technician Ralph Block in the biz since the mid 1950's expects a blowoff top soon. Still need to suck some more sideline money in and force final capitulation of those who have been remained short and strong all this time..

Mish, so what is this, the 3rd year in a row you've (along with the Bob Bronson and Jas Jain's of the world) called for recession?

Ain't gonna happen without higher rates.

It is improbable to have a recession without BUSINESS INVESTMENT contracting and that's not going to happen in a significant way -- not after 6 years of virtual stagnation in business spending.
