T-Mobile to Participate in Hiwire Trial

When Hiwire launches its DVB-H trial in the 700 MHz spectrum in Las Vegas next month, wireless operator T-Mobile USA will be part of the high-profile trial. According to a Hiwire executive, within 60 days of Hiwire’s formation, T-Mobile signed on to participate in the trial. However, the operator is only participating in the trial and has agreed to no further commitment with Hiwire.

The Hiwire DVB-H trial in Las Vegas is on track for a December launch, and the company expects to have three or four different handsets available for the trial. The reason for the variety of handsets is because the company is able to glean handsets from other DVB-H trials around the world that are happening in the 700 MHz spectrum.

In other Hiwire developments, Frost & Sullivan named Hiwire the “Player to Watch” in the U.S. mobile multicasting space. The analyst firm selected Hiwire because of its spectrum position (12 MHz of spectrum in the lower 700 MHz band), its partnership with SES Americom for programming and its strong management team. In addition, Frost & Sullivan said that it believes Hiwire has a strong “second-mover” advantage, meaning that it can learn from its competitors’ initiatives and then pick and choose its partners.

Slacker , Re: TXN CC>>>

Been digging thru their transcript and attempting to access their CC presentation charts which don’t appear to exist.

Is it typical that TXN does not provide presentation charts at their earnings CC’s ?
